Software Engineer - Tools & Automation

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be self-driven to work across various organizations across Apple, balance multiple assignments in parallel, and have the acumen and strength to persuade and influence stakeholders. As a Software Engineer - Tools & Automation in the Networking Operations team, you will be responsible for accelerating software development workflows for bug triage, continuous integration and presubmission testing. Your role will include:\n\n- implementation of scripts and tools to support our engineering development workflow\n\n- creation of reports and dashboards to improve our submission and triage operations\n\n- troubleshooting of networking related features, across a variety of Apple platforms

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent networking software development experience\nPassion for automation\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work with multi-functional engineering team\nExperience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems\nExperience with source code management using git\nExperience designing and implementing software automation solutions with languages like Swift and Python

Experience with large language models (Apple Foundation Models, Claude, Gemini, or other LLMs)\nExperience with macOS and iOS development tools (Xcode, Instruments, XCUITest)\nExperience with search and analytics engines like Splunk or Elastic Search\nStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality\nExperience with Network debugging tools (e.g. packet sniffers, protocol analyzers, ...)\nLab management experience and configuration of network equipments (Switches, Routers, NATs, Firewalls, VMs, ...) in lab environment a plus\nWireless and Cellular technologies experience a plus\nYou are innovative, flexible, and results oriented with a positive attitude
