About the RoleWe're looking for a Technical Rules and Standards Associate I to support compliance activities within a major energy utility. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to gain hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, reliability standards, and critical infrastructure protection.
What You'll Do- Assist in preparing compliance documentation for regulatory filings, including self-certifications and audit evidence packages
- Review operational logs and technical data to confirm adherence to reliability and security standards
- Maintain compliance tracking tools and organize evidence repositories for audits
- Support internal audits by gathering and validating documentation against regulatory checklists
- Monitor updates to reliability and security standards and communicate changes to team members
- Participate in compliance training focused on technical rules and security requirements
- Follow standard operating procedures for evidence collection and reporting
- Escalate potential compliance gaps to senior staff for resolution

- Plus: Experience with Power BI or Smartsheets
