OverviewWe are seeking a
Configuration Analyst I to support product configuration, engineering change management, and documentation control within a fast-paced technical environment. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are detail-oriented, highly organized, and interested in contributing to product lifecycle and configuration management functions.
The Configuration Analyst I will work under direct supervision and follow established procedures to support engineering change processes and ensure documentation accuracy across technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze product design changes to determine effects on end product configuration, documentation, and system functionality.
- Prepare, update, and maintain documentation required to support engineering change activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and manufacturing partners to establish clear processes for reporting and executing design changes.
- Review engineering change data, documentation packages, and released change orders to ensure compliance with configuration management standards and internal procedures.
- Ensure all configuration activities follow established policies, workflows, and control guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records, change logs, and configuration documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support audits, version tracking, and documentation consistency across engineering and product teams.
- Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions while learning and applying configuration management concepts and best practices.
Requirements Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or similar discipline).
- 0-3 years of experience in configuration management, documentation control, engineering support, or related technical roles.
- Familiarity with standard concepts and practices related to configuration management or product documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.
- Ability to follow documented processes, work within defined workflows, and operate under direct supervision.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with engineering change management tools or product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
- Exposure to document control processes or configuration tracking.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, or operations.
