Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned QE Automation Lead with expert-level proficiency in Selenium, Python, and Salesforce to spearhead quality engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of leadership experience building Selenium frameworks from scratch and scaling them for enterprise use within complex ecosystems such as Salesforce.
This role also requires experience with AI-driven automation and performance testing to help integrate intelligent automation capabilities into the broader testing strategy. The QE Automation Lead will drive the architectural vision and hands-on development of a unified automation ecosystem supporting 13 cross-functional teams, ensuring scalable, high-performing, and reliable quality solutions in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a comprehensive automation roadmap supporting 13 engineering teams.
- Design and implement advanced Salesforce automation strategies, including dynamic UI components, Flows, and integrated business processes.
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium, Python, TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, and JMeter.
- Implement modern, scalable cross-browser testing using Selenium and establish adoption standards.
- Integrate AI-driven testing capabilities such as self-healing scripts, intelligent test generation, predictive analytics, and AI-based element locators.
- Validate complex integrations across web, mobile, APIs, and cloud services.
- Lead, mentor, and coach QE/QA engineers while establishing clear expectations and career development paths.
- Embed automation into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and continuous validation.
- Oversee mobile automation (Appium) and performance testing (JMeter).
- Establish coding standards, reusable components, and maintainability guidelines.
- Define and track automation KPIs including coverage, flakiness, runtime, and escaped defects.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years leading automation teams in enterprise or high-growth environments.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience building and scaling automation frameworks, including building Selenium frameworks from scratch.
- Strong proficiency in Python for automated test development.
- Experience automating Salesforce workflows and understanding Salesforce architecture.
- Hands-on AI/ML automation experience (self-healing, intelligent selection, test generation).
- Performance testing expertise using JMeter and experience leading performance initiatives.
- Advanced experience with Selenium WebDriver, Grid, Maven, TestNG, Cucumber, and Appium.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum environments.
Technical Requirements
- Python and JavaScript, with familiarity in Salesforce Apex.
- Selenium, Appium, and modern automation tools such as Tosca, Testim, Cypress, or Playwright.
- AWS experience testing distributed and event-driven systems (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3).
- Experience supporting or testing legacy and modern web stacks including PHP 5.6, JavaScript, and CakePHP 2.
- Experience across UI, API, integration, regression, smoke, end-to-end, and performance testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable test execution.
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Automation certification.
- Strong API testing and service virtualization expertise.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder.
- AWS Associate-level certification (Developer or Solutions Architect).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- AI-related testing certifications.
- Proven ability to lead cross-team quality initiatives and communicate risk at a business level.
