Description We are seeking an experienced
Maximo Developer with deep expertise in IBM Maximo application development, configuration, integrations, and production support. This role supports enterprise asset management initiatives and requires strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with business and technical teams to ensure system stability and performance.
This is a
remote position supporting a large utilities-focused program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide application support for IBM Maximo, including issue analysis, debugging, and resolution of technical/functional issues.
- Perform configuration, customization, and development of Maximo applications, workflows, MBOs, and automation scripts.
- Develop and maintain BIRT and SQL reports; support complex data extraction requests.
- Manage system integrations with third-party applications, middleware, and enterprise platforms using MIF, APIs, and web services.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot errors, and implement fixes to ensure high reliability and availability.
- Participate in patching, upgrades, and environment migrations with minimal business disruption.
- Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements and recommend best-practice solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and configuration changes.
- Provide production support on incidents and service requests, adhering to SLAs and ITIL processes.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements Required Skills & Experience- 8+ years of hands-on IBM Maximo development and support experience.
- Strong expertise in:
- Java, J2EE
- SQL
- BIRT reporting
- Automation scripting (Python/JavaScript)
- Deep understanding of:
- Maximo architecture & database structures
- MBO framework
- Application Designer
- Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), APIs, and web services.
- Proven production troubleshooting and system support experience.
- Familiarity with upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL support processes and incident/change management.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with:
- Maximo Anywhere
- Maximo Asset Configuration Manager (ACM)
- Maximo Industry Solutions
- Knowledge of cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure) and containerization.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Remedy, or other ITSM tools.
Education Requirements- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of Maximo experience;
- Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
