Project Manager II – IT PMO
Overview:
Seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the Project Management Office (PMO) in delivering medium to large-scale technology projects. The role involves developing integrated project schedules, managing budgets and risks, and ensuring successful execution using PMI-based methodologies and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate IT projects from initiation through completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate between business and technical teams to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk logs, and documentation.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve risks or obstacles.
Conduct team meetings, status reporting, and communication with stakeholders.
Support portfolio and project governance processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
Apply Agile and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles where applicable.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of IT project management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Agile tools (e.g., Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps).
Strong knowledge of project planning, resource management, budgeting, and risk mitigation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
PMP certification.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Prior work in utility, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
