Mobile QA (iOS & Android) – Manual & Automation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mobile QA Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application testing for iOS and Android platforms, including both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in mobile test automation using Appium and Java, along with hands-on knowledge of video streaming technologies and playback testing.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality mobile applications, especially in streaming media environments, while implementing robust test strategies and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test strategies for native mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
• Perform manual and automated testing for mobile applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Appium, Selenium, and Java.
• Test video streaming applications, validating protocols such as HLS and DASH and analyzing playback performance including buffering, latency, and video quality.
• Conduct performance testing and security testing for mobile applications to identify potential vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define and implement quality standards and best practices.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, ensuring detailed bug reports and effective resolution tracking.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster release cycles.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Document testing processes, results, and findings for continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience with Charles Proxy or similar network debugging tools
• Knowledge of performance and security testing tools
• Experience working in Agile development environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6–10 years of experience in mobile QA testing
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
