Job Description:
The Role
The CoE AI Data Center Power Design & Build is a global Center-of-Excellence role responsible for defining, standardizing, and governing power infrastructure design for next-generation AI-ready and hyperscale data centers.
This role acts as the technical authority for mission-critical electrical systems and ensures that all power designs are scalable, resilient, energy-efficient, and compliant with international standards and hyperscaler requirements.
The position translates AI workload demands into robust electrical architectures covering medium- and low-voltage systems, UPS plants, generator systems, rack-level power distribution, and intelligent monitoring platforms.
The role establishes global reference architectures, reusable engineering templates, and design playbooks that enable consistent, repeatable deployments across regions.
The role supports greenfield builds, brownfield upgrades, and where rapid scalability and dynamic power loads are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and govern global power design standards for AI and hyperscale data centers
- Develop end-to-end electrical infrastructure designs including MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, PDUs, RPPs, and busway systems
- Translate AI and GPU workload requirements into reliable, high-density power architectures
- Develop capacity and load models for bursty and dynamic AI workloads
- Design redundancy architectures such as N+1, 2N, and distributed resiliency models
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, and power quality analysis
- Support site feasibility assessments and power availability studies
- Create global engineering templates, standards, and design toolkits
- Review and approve single-line diagrams and detailed electrical designs
- Validate OEM equipment selection for interoperability and lifecycle performance
- Collaborate with OEMs to standardize equipment across deployments
- Define lifecycle, spares, and maintainability strategies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor s or master s degree in electrical engineering
- 10 12+ years in mission-critical or data center electrical design
- Experience in hyperscale and AI data center environments
- Strong expertise in MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, and power distribution
- Hands-on commissioning and integrated testing experience
- Experience working with global OEM ecosystems
- Strong understanding of redundancy and resiliency design principles
- Experience supporting multi-region deployment programs
- Strong technical documentation and presentation skills
