About the OpportunityWe are hiring
Entry-Level Data Center Power Technicians to support a large-scale
UPS Battery Replacement Project inside a data center environment. This project involves replacing approximately
9,000 industrial UPS batteries, each weighing
110-120 lbs, making this a
physically demanding but highly valuable entry point into the
DC Power Plant / Data Center industry.
This role is ideal for
hardworking individuals who want hands-on experience in mission-critical infrastructure. No prior data center or power experience is required-
on-the-job training and formal online manufacturer training will be provided.
What You'll Be DoingTechnicians on this project will support battery replacement operations, including:
- Assisting with removal and installation of large UPS batteries
- Performing repetitive, labor-intensive material handling tasks
- Following detailed procedures and safety protocols
- Using basic hand tools to assist with battery change-outs
- Working as part of a team in a structured data center environment
- Completing required online manufacturer (EnerSys) training
- Taking direction from supervisors and experienced technicians
Work Environment- Indoor data center facilities
- Physically demanding work involving lifting, carrying, and positioning heavy equipment
- Team-based, safety-focused environment
- Strict adherence to site rules and compliance requirements
Schedule & Assignment Details- Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Overtime: Up to 1-2 hours per day, as needed
- Contract Length: 6 months or longer
- Transportation: Candidates must have reliable personal transportation
Required Qualifications- Ability to lift and handle 110-120 lb batteries (with team assistance and proper techniques)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn new technical skills
- Ability to pass:
- Drug screening
- Background check
- Vaccination compliance requirements
Preferred (Not Required)- Construction, warehouse, or labor experience
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Interest in data centers, power systems, or critical infrastructure

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
