Description

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Application Developer / Solution Architect to join our corporate IT staff. This person must have experience developing, testing, and implementing enterprise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online solutions, specifically focused on Finance and Operations (F&O). The Dynamics 365 Engineer will work to customize, integrate, develop workflows, perform system analyses, and provide ongoing support by leveraging out of the box functionality native to Dynamics 365 where possible and extend the platform using custom development and interfaces between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other systems. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of custom development and 5+ years of Dynamics 365 related work experience and be adept at developing working and thoroughly tested solutions while managing their time in a collaborative team setting.

The ideal candidate should possess the desire to continually improve Tyler Technologies' corporate applications environment. Initially they will assist in the migration from Tyler Technologies' legacy ERP to implement Dynamics 365; long-term they will develop, and coordinate changes with the assistance of their IT team members and key business users.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Business Process Owners, Application Architect, Tyler IT teams to enhance and maintain our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solution.
  • Develop custom solutions and interfaces leveraging the Dynamics 365 Online platform.
  • Able to document and execute test plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered.
  • Participate in code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used.
  • Liaise with IT and related Business Owners on future strategy of platform, capacity planning, upgrades, etc.
  • Develop plug-ins for Dynamics 365 Online.
  • Work with Tyler IT teams to provide advanced support and troubleshooting of Dynamics 365 and related applications/interface while documenting root cause and solutions.
  • Develop detailed technical solution documentation that is aligned with current business objectives and existing applications.
  • Develop, test, and document working solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online platform.
  • Develop Forms, Report customizations, and create data entities in Dynamics 365 F&O.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field, or comparable work experience.
  • 5+ years of custom development, designing, and deploying functionalities in Microsoft.
  • 3+ years of X/X++ development experience.
  • Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations experience with expertise in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Cash & Bank process areas, Budgeting, Consolidation, User Role-based Workflows.
  • Previous AX release experience preferred.
  • Extensive ASP.NET (C#) development experience within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 SDK including working knowledge of the ODATA and REST endpoints.
  • Previous experience in implementing technologies such as MSMQ, VB.NET, C#, ASP, ASP.NET, RESTful API's, XML, XSL, WCF and SOAP.
  • Experience with PowerBI, PowerApps, LogicApps, Azure Portal/Services/Functions, DataVerse/Common Data Service.
  • Experience with writing and troubleshooting Dynamics 365 plug-ins and custom workflow activities.
  • Background in development of enterprise systems as part of a complete software product lifecycle.
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), KingswaySoft, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) development, and SQL and/or PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of OOAD, database design, and Software Design patterns such as MVC, N-Tier, Test Driven Development, and Dependency Injection.
  • Ability to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions to anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Deep technical understanding of MS D365 is a must, MS D365 Certifications is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Background in User Experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Accounting principles.
