Summary

This role requires a high-level technical specialist capable of independently analyzing ambiguous conversion issues, designing Windows specific solutions, and providing expert level troubleshooting support to the R&P modernization team.

Candidates should also be comfortable working with PowerShell or similar scripting tools to support automation and orchestration of SAS processes (preferred but not required).

Design efficient data manipulation workflows using DATA steps, macros, and advanced SAS functions.
Proficiency in SAS 9.x on Windows, with specific experience adapting mainframe SAS logic to Windows file system conventions, directory structures
Experience converting or re engineering SAS programs originally designed for z/OS or other mainframe environments.
Strong competency in integrating SAS with Windows OS level operations is required, including automated file movement, rename logic, email generation.
Ability to analyze and remediate SAS code dependencies on mainframe JCL constructs (e.g., DD statements, dataset naming conventions, DISP parameters.
