Summary

Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Manager to lead and develop a team responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical hosted environments. This role requires a strong technical background combined with excellent leadership skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure services to enterprise clients across diverse industries.

Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of systems and infrastructure engineers in managing a 24/7 hosted environment.
Oversee operations across virtualized platforms, cloud hosting services, and application delivery systems.
Ensure the infrastructure meets high availability, security, and performance standards.
Manage incident response processes, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical capabilities with business and customer requirements.
Develop and enforce engineering best practices, documentation protocols, and proactive monitoring solutions.
Handle capacity planning, configuration management, and lifecycle upgrades for servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
Contribute to strategic planning for scalability, modernization, and the introduction of new technical solutions.
Recruit, train, and retain skilled engineering talent while fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure management, or cloud hosting.
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and virtual desktop environments.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and automation tools.
Experience with monitoring systems, observability tools, and incident management.
Ability to design scalable strategies that meet operational needs.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with ITIL, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Citrix, and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.
