Role Overview
We are seeking an AV Engineer to provide expertise in the technical support, setup, and installation of Microsoft Teams Rooms technology and AV equipment. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, leveraging technical engineering expertise with Microsoft Teams Rooms systems and AV technology to support corporate functions and executive leadership. The position is responsible for setting up MS Teams conference rooms, managing onsite AV environments for meetings, and resolving AV and Teams-related issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and support Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) environments.
- Set up and maintain onsite AV equipment for in-person meetings and conferences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio, video, and Microsoft Teams issues in real time.
- Provide hands-on support for executive and group meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Support ongoing improvements to AV and collaboration technology environments.
- Monitor system performance to ensure the reliability and usability of AV systems.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an AV Engineer setting up and supporting audiovisual equipment in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across AV hardware, software, and collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated organizational and task-focused skills suitable for a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach are essential for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- AV programming experience, especially with Q-SYS or similar AV control platforms.
- Team Lead or Project Management experience, including task coordination and organization.
- Exposure to systems infrastructure planning, engineering, and performance monitoring.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $50.00 and $55.00 per hour.
