Administrative Law Judge

Role Overview

The Administrative Law Judge will conduct hearings, make evidentiary rulings, manage the course of proceedings, and issue legally sound written decisions based on research and analysis of testimony and evidence.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct hearings (in person or telephonically)

Ask questions, control proceedings, and build an official record

Make evidentiary rulings and ensure due process compliance

Issue legally correct written decisions based on legal research

Analyze testimony, evidence, and regulatory frameworks

Provide guidance to parties regarding the hearing process

Investigate and respond to customer complaints

Ensure follow-up and implementation of decisions

Required Qualifications

Prior experience serving as an Administrative Hearing Officer (mandatory)

Demonstrated experience analyzing testimony and issuing written decisions

Familiarity with administrative procedure and due process requirements

Strong written and oral communication skills

Proven experience drafting administrative decisions

Preferred

JD (Juris Doctor) degree
