Summary:

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Contract Business & Data Analysts to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in understanding, documenting, and optimizing our business processes and underlying data flows. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, analyze data, and produce clear and actionable documentation. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Business Process Mapping:
• Develop comprehensive process maps using standard methodologies (e.g., BPMN, swimlane diagrams) to visualize end-to-end workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or improvement within processes.
• Facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams to gather input and validate process documentation.
• Data Flow Analysis:
• Analyze and document the flow of data between systems, applications, and databases.
• Create data dictionaries to define key data elements, their sources, and transformations.
• Identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Documentation & Artifact Creation:
• Create detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that clearly outline process steps and decision points.
• Develop user guides and training materials to support process adoption and data understanding.
• Produce insightful reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Artifacts & Examples:

• Process Maps: Detailed visual representations of workflows, including:
• Order Fulfillment Process: Illustrating the steps from order placement to delivery.
• Vendor Onboarding Process: Mapping the activities involved in welcoming new vendors.
• Data Flow Diagrams: Schematics showing the movement of data, such as:
• Product Sales Data Flow: Tracing the path of sales data from point-of-sale systems to reporting databases.
• Customer Support Ticket Data Flow: Depicting how support tickets are created, routed, and resolved.
• SOPs: Step-by-step instructions for specific tasks, like:
• Invoice Processing SOP: Detailing the steps to review, approve, and process invoices.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of proven experience in business analysis or a related field.
• 3-5 years of recent experience in the retail domain
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, SQL).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field preferred.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in the product management domain.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
