Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with expertise in CI/CD pipelines and AI-driven Edge/IoT environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of distributed systems that span cloud and edge devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong DevOps mindset and hands-on knowledge of deploying and managing AI/ML workloads on Edge (IoT) devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems across cloud and edge environments.
- Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to ensure service reliability and performance.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain observability frameworks (monitoring, logging, tracing) for distributed edge systems.
- Architect and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for microservices and AI/ML workloads using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Enable continuous delivery to Edge devices, including Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage AI/ML models on Edge (IoT) devices.
- Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or CloudFormation.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering. Experience supporting distributed or IoT/Edge systems in production is required.
Technical Skills: Strong experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines in production environments. Hands-on experience with Azure. Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Go, or Bash.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying and managing AI/ML models at the edge.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, drift detection).
- Knowledge of Edge/IoT protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, or OPC UA.
- Experience with real-time streaming and event-driven architectures.
- Background in security for IoT environments.
- Exposure to industrial or operational technology (OT) environments.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is $75.00 per hour. Please note that this is a contract role and benefits may not be provided.
