Develop, design, code, and test applications, components, mainframe programs, pipelines, database queries, transactions, job schedules, stored procedures, table designs, APIs, programs, alerts. Automate batch workloads, troubleshoot, confer with business analysis and QA, and perform unit, SIT, and UAT testing. Review data integrity, performance tuning, integration and distributed systems, enterprise level source control systems, deployment, abends, bottlenecks, system enhancements, standards, security, regulations, requirements, functional and technical specifications, structured programming, modular design, high-volume transactions, workflows, dependencies, recovery procedures, database tuning, indexing, fault tolerance, version control systems, deployment packages, versioning, audit trails, debugging, abends, logic errors, root cause, legacy system refactoring, modular components, file tuning and optimization, audits, automated checks, validation routines, dependencies, system-level configuration changes, messaging, recovery. Maintain documentation, analyze client/user needs, recommend modifications. Use COBOL, IBM z/OS, CICS, DB2, JCL, CI/CD, CA7, CA11, Autosys, Restful API, Endevor, Xpediter, Abend-AID, SQL, MQ, VSAM, Agile, IMS, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, QMF, Easytrieve, SPUFI, IBM Datastudio, Splunk, AppDynamics, Gomez, BMC, Control-M. 40 hrs/wk. Must have Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years experience in the proffered position or as a Developer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the specified fields plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the specified occupations. Must have 2 years of experience developing mainframe programs, pipelines, queries, alerts; performing unit and UAT testing; reviewing bottlenecks, requirements, specifications, debugging; using COBOL, DB2, JCL, CI/CD, Xpediter, Agile, IMS, Dynatrace, IBM Datastudio, Splunk. Must be willing to travel/relocate to unanticipated locations throughout the US on short notice for extended periods of time. Telecommuting permitted. $178,132 to $178,150 /yr.
