Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain the configuration baseline for products, systems, or projects
Ensure all components and documents are clearly identified and controlled
Manage changes to configuration items through a formal change control process
Coordinate and facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and processes for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Trouble Reports (TRs), Drawing Revision Notices (DRNs)
Maintain accurate records of configuration item status, including versions, changes, and current configurations
Conduct configuration audits to verify compliance with documented requirements
Ensure physical and functional configurations match their documentation
Track and report on the implementation of approved changes
Reviews engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine documentation and material requirements, ensure compliance
with engineering specifications, and to ensure engineering orders reflect latest requirements
Serve as an advocate for the program; coordinate and deliver Contract / Supplier Delivery Requirements Lists (CDRLs/SDRLs) to meet contractual requirements
Analyzes proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensures all documents have required approvals
Conduct document peer reviews of unclassified and classified internal and deliverable material
Develop solutions for complex issues independently
Assist in implementing innovative concepts to streamline processes, maintain quality, and boost efficiency
Prepares documentation for archive
Notifies appropriate departments of any new or updated data
Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and audit trails
Ensure proper handling, storage, retrieval, and protection of technical data and documentation
Continuously evaluate and improve configuration and data management processes and tools
Ensure adherence to industry standards, organizational policies, and contractual requirements regarding configuration and data management
Collaborate with engineering, quality, project management, and other teams to support project objectives
Provide timely configuration and data management support throughout the project lifecycle
Basic Qualifications
High School and a minimum of 5 years related experience
Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel & PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe, TeamCenter, and other related CM programs
Must have a Secret level clearance

Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 10007, or MIL-STD-973/IEEE 828
Keen attention to detail for managing complex datasets and configuration items
Familiarity with JIRA
Self-motivated and able to effectively work with all levels of the organization
Strong written and verbal communications skills along with the ability to understand and communicate technically oriented material
Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of configuration data
Experience supporting audits and compliance activities

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.
