Summary

Introduction

This position as a BMS Sales Executive- Service involves identifying potential opportunities, arranging meetings, developing proposals, negotiating with subcontractors, and selling service contracts. The role also requires relationship management with building owners/operators and mechanical contractors to grow the Building Management Systems Service Business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and recommend potential opportunities to Service Manager.
  • Arrange meetings, initiate sales momentum, collect necessary information to build estimates and proposals using standardized tools and procedures.
  • Estimate and develop proposals for service, retrofit control projects, and service contracts.
  • Work with and negotiate with electrical sub-contractors for control installation and other vendors providing sub-contract services on projects.
  • Assist in selling service contracts on new accounts.
  • Attend pre-bid project meetings, walkthroughs, and client meetings to assess project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Building Owners/Operators and Mechanical Contractors.
  • Collaborate internally with various teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customers with integrity and urgency.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with company members, clients, subcontractors, and other trade contractors.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous sales experience in Building Management Systems or Control Systems.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Visio and/or AutoCAD a plus.
  • Knowledge of CRM and Bid Tracer a plus.
  • BACnet Control Systems Sales experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Minimum 3-5 years field experience in the HVAC controls industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, configuration, management, security, and diagnostics.
