Summary

Job Title: -    QA Lead – Playwright and Automation
Duration: -   6+ Month C2H
Location: -   Mount Juliet, TN Onsite (Need Locals)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end test automation strategy with a primary focus on Playwright-based frameworks.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks for web applications.
  • Establish best practices for UI, API, and end-to-end testing using Playwright.
  • Drive shift-left testing practices and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Review and improve existing automation suites for reliability, performance, and coverage.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers on automation standards, coding practices, and testing methodologies.
  • Define and track quality metrics, test coverage, and defect leakage.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform test coverage using Playwright capabilities.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive quality measures.

 

Required Qualifications

    • 8+ years in QA, with at least 3+ years in a lead or senior automation role.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
    • Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
    • Expertise in UI automation, API testing, and end-to-end testing strategies.
    • Knowledge of visual testing tools and accessibility testing.
    • Experience integrating Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
    • Solid understanding of test design patterns, page object models, and modular frameworks.
    • Experience with version control systems (Git) and code review processes.
    • Strong debugging and analytical skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) in conjunction with Playwright.
    • Knowledge of performance and security testing fundamentals.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure).
    • Exposure to containerization tools like Docker.
