Description:
Hybrid 3 days/ WK in Washington, DC

Our client seeks an Instructional Designer to own end-to-end development of organizational training, including curriculum design, LMS delivery, and production of digital training videos. The role will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, storyboard, develop interactive courses, and create manuals and quick reference guides. The position requires hands-on proficiency with course authoring tools and video editing, plus the ability to present and support large-scale training deployments.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $38.00 to $40.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements to develop training curriculums.
  • Deliver developed curriculums to end users and stakeholders.
  • Create training manuals and quick reference guides.
  • Develop instructional videos and edit content into effective training-on-demand sessions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align training with project goals.
  • Deliver content to an LMS.
  • Provide basic web maintenance and manage applications posted to related resource links on WordPress.
  • Design and control library structure and contents.
  • Collaborate with participating agencies to support training for forfeiture systems applications, including videos, LMS course creation, manuals, and guides.

Experience Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in instructional design, organizational training, or related fields.
  • Proficient understanding of organizational training.
  • Proficient understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Hands-on experience with Camtasia or comparable video editors.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere.
  • Experience with WordPress for basic maintenance and content management.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
  • Detail oriented with strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver on schedule in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and able to accommodate changing requirements, including late-stage updates.
  • Team-oriented with a professional, solutions-focused approach.
  • Past experience with IBM Rational products (preferred).

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Digital Video Production, or related field. Equivalent work experience considered.
