Hybrid 3 days onsite in Rockville, MD

The organization seeks a Lead Enablement Engineer to build and own a comprehensive SDLC 3.0 training program with AI integration. The role will develop multi-modal curricula, enable AI-driven solutions with engineering teams, and maintain a centralized repository of best practices and hands-on labs. The position requires strong SDLC, software development, and instructional design expertise to accelerate adoption, improve delivery practices, and support stakeholders across technical levels. This is a 6-month contract supporting enterprise enablement in a regulated context.

Rate: $75.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end SDLC training program from conception through delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Design curricula on SDLC best practices, AI integration, tools, processes, and standards for self-service, instructor-led, and hands-on formats.
  • Build and maintain a centralized repository with examples, exercises, best practices, glossaries, and tool guides.
  • Establish learning paths for new hires and employees across technical proficiency levels.
  • Collaborate with enablement, engineering, and customers to identify needs and develop AI-driven SDLC solutions.
  • Prototype and validate AI solutions as tools and processes evolve, incorporating outcomes rapidly into training.
  • Advise on AI tool selection, implementation patterns, and best practices.
  • Develop instructional materials including presentations, videos, documentation, interactive exercises, and labs.
  • Engage subject matter experts to contribute and validate content and consult with leaders to understand needs.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training for technical and non-technical audiences and provide technical demonstrations.
  • Manage project plans, priorities, timelines, and deliverables for training and enablement initiatives.
  • Measure effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics and report outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve content and delivery based on feedback and emerging technologies.

Experience Requirements:
  • Strong SDLC expertise across Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, testing strategies, and deployment practices.
  • Hands-on software development background with coding proficiency.
  • Experience integrating AI into SDLC and using AI-powered development tools (e.g., AWS Kiro CLI or similar).
  • Ability to identify and correct low-quality AI-generated content.
  • Solution development experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of development tools, cloud technologies, and deployment platforms.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
  • Curriculum development and adult learning principles with multi-modal training delivery.
  • Ability to rapidly update training content as solutions and tools evolve.
  • Assessment design and measurement of learning effectiveness.
  • Proficiency with content creation tools for video, documentation, and presentations.
  • Confident public speaking and clear communication of complex technical concepts across levels.
  • Stakeholder management and influence without authority.
  • Strong written communication and technical credibility with engineering teams.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with enablement, engineering, and end-users.
  • Requirements gathering and translation of customer needs into practical solutions.
  • Experience with iterative solution development and rapid prototyping.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with emerging technologies.
  • End-to-end project ownership with strong organization and prioritization.
  • Self-starter with continuous learning mindset and adaptability.
  • 5+ years in software development with demonstrated SDLC expertise (preferred).
  • 5+ years in technical training development and delivery (preferred).
  • Experience with enablement initiatives or internal developer platforms (preferred).
  • Track record of building training programs from scratch (preferred).
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries (preferred).
  • Proven ability to learn and adopt new technologies rapidly (preferred).

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Certifications in instructional design, adult learning, or training delivery (e.g., ATD, CPTD) (preferred).
  • Technical certifications related to SDLC tools or practices (preferred).
