Job Description

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer in New York, NY, to consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support. Provide comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs. Evaluate compliance with the organization's technology standards. Program well-designed, testable, efficient code. Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites. Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participate in code reviews. Integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Apply security and privacy principles. Work with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group. Guide and consult with IT management and technical staffs regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services. Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies. Telecommuting permitted up to one (1) day per week.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study. Requires ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in a closely related occupation. Employer will accept pre- or post- Master's degree experience.

Requires eight (8) years of experience in each of the following: Architecting multi-tenant services running on private or public cloud infrastructure using Java and REST; Integrating applications with messaging systems IBM MQ for asynchronous message processing; Building UI applications with a micro frontend architecture using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; Utilizing Junit testing frameworks for development testing; and Analyzing and documenting software development requirements and handling Agile development methodologies. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Architecting multi-tenant services running on private or public cloud infrastructure using Spring, secured with Oauth, SSL, or Kerberos; Leveraging distributed service discovery and in-memory data stores using Apache Zookeeper, and Hazelcast within microservices; Integrating applications with messaging systems Apache Kafka for asynchronous messaging processing; Utilizing JAVA batch processing frameworks, Spring Batch, and workload automation solutions including Autosys, ESP, Control-M; Utilizing Mockito unit testing frameworks for development testing.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $201,750.00 - $253,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify the base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
