Job Description We are seeking 2 experienced Business Analyst 2 resources to support a critical technology migration project. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs; formulating solutions aligned with business strategies; and driving effective migration from legacy systems to modern solutions with minimal disruption and high data integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Requirements Elicitation & Documentation: Gather, define, and document detailed business and technical requirements for system migration.
- Data Mapping & Transformation: Analyze source data, map fields from legacy to target systems, and define transformation rules.
- Process Modeling: Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes.
- Gap Analysis: Identify gaps in functionality/data between legacy and new systems; recommend solutions such as data cleansing or process changes.
- Validation & Testing: Develop test cases, validate data consistency, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure successful migration.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead workshops, communicate progress, manage expectations, and mitigate risks with business and technical teams.
- Documentation & Training: Prepare functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials for the new system.
Additional duties: Prepare solution options, conduct risk identification, financial analyses (e.g., cost/benefit, ROI), and support business process reengineering. Experience with industry-standard process mapping and identifying technology applications to solve business problems is essential.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in requirements gathering and testing of web-based applications.
- 5+ years of experience performing data analysis from databases using SQL queries.
- 5+ years of experience creating UI mock-ups.
- 5+ years of experience developing requirement traceability matrices.
- 5+ years of experience writing test cases and test scripts.
- 5+ years of experience testing batch jobs and web services.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working on projects using Agile development methodologies.
