Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager / Agile Scrum Master for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves leading and coaching teams within an Agile Release Train (ART) to embrace a Lean-Agile mindset. The ideal candidate will facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning, manage dependencies, remove impediments, and drive the execution of business outcomes using SAFe practices.
Responsibilities: - Plan for the team (Pre-Planning/Preparation and PI Planning Events) and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs
- Drive agile execution to meet business outcomes and priorities
- Perform hands-on training/coaching to teams in all aspects of Lean-Agile
- Lead roles and teams to embrace a Lean-Agile and learning mindset
- Provide guidance about how to create and manage an intake process, a healthy backlog, and how to facilitate valuable Agile ceremonies
- Align teams to enterprise Agile standards and practices, and coach team members through change
- Help the team define norms/agreements, i.e. Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements
- Establish agile metrics and reporting
- Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO)
- Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the team
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
- Guide and coach the teams on the Agile Release Train on Scrum practices, and develop their understanding of Agile principles
- Coordinate and facilitate ART ceremonies such as Backlog Refinement, Program Increment (PI) Planning, ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Retrospectives
- Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the ART
- Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration within the ART to support value delivery and PI commitments
- Provide status updates and reporting pertaining to ART plans, delivery, timelines, and impediments to stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements for technology solutions are met
- Measure ART delivery, maturity, and performance to identify improvement opportunities
- Capture data to help determine/track product funding and resource acquisition needs
- Mentor more junior Scrum Masters
Requirements: - Proven experience as an Agile Scrum Master
- Proficiency with Jira
- Strong Project Management skills
- Scale Agile Certifications (SAFe) such as Lean Portfolio Management, Release Train Engineer, or Scrum Master
Pay range: $55.15 - $63.15 per hour
