Role Overview
This Senior Product Manager role supports the end-to-end embarkation experience for a major cruise line. In this collaborative position, you will partner with business teams to shape and drive product strategies that elevate the guest experience and transform operations. You will act as a connection across disciplines, bringing clarity and momentum to initiatives while aligning stakeholders around shared goals. This is a high-impact role for a candidate who can empathize with guests and operational partners, foster collaborative decision-making, and inspire teams to deliver transformative outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own requirements definition for all aspects of a project, synthesizing guest insights, operational needs, and technical constraints into clear product direction.
- Document product scope by translating business and technical requirements into user stories and epics.
- Define a formal, data-driven roadmap and backlog with input from the team and business partners.
- Drive the implementation of the roadmap by ensuring development teams understand product goals and priorities.
- Partner with operations and technology teams to ensure launch readiness, operational stability, and clear plans for live operation support.
- Define and monitor success metrics tied to guest experience, operational performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Serve as the primary representative for Product Management in all daily project activities and as a liaison for leadership.
- Communicate expectations to partners and leaders, and make adjustments as priorities shift.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience in digital customer experience for a global or national brand is required. Candidates must have experience working with technology, design, project management, business, and user experience teams. This includes demonstrated experience owning and driving outcomes for complex, multi-team product portfolios or platform initiatives.
Skills: Applicants should be able to use hard data to form assumptions and develop business cases. Experience with Agile software development methodology is required. The role demands an ability to think strategically, guide ideas into action, and work independently with minimal direction. Experience partnering cross-functionally and presenting product strategy is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital Product Management to support a physical operation, and/or experience in the cruise industry.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Experience with innovative and emerging technologies.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $75.00 and $82.00 per hour. Apex Systems offers weekly pay.
