We're seeking a Senior Solution Architect to drive the future-state architecture, cloud design, and integration strategy for a large-scale system replacement effort. This is a high-visibility role partnering directly with business leaders, engineering teams, and an external platform provider.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design Leadership

  • Own the target-state architecture for the new financial/treasury platform.
  • Develop architectural diagrams, data flows, integration models, and infrastructure specifications.
  • Assess legacy and SAS-based systems, identifying modernization paths, gaps, and dependencies.
  • Define cloud architecture aligned to enterprise standards.

Data Integration & Migration

  • Architect data flows between the new platform and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Define integration patterns (API, ETL, batch, streaming) and validate feasibility with engineering teams.
  • Provide guidance on data mapping, governance, quality, and transformation strategy.

Security, Compliance & Infrastructure

  • Ensure architecture meets strict security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams on authentication, encryption, and secure configuration.
  • Drive standards around performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience.

Collaboration & Advisory

  • Serve as the primary architectural advisor to business, delivery, data, and vendor teams.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Work closely with the implementation partner to ensure architectural alignment throughout the build.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Technical Architect.
  • Deep experience leading data-intensive system migrations, ideally in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Strong background in cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Proven experience integrating SaaS platforms into complex enterprise environments.
  • Expertise with system replacement initiatives, APIs, integration design, and data transformation.
  • Ability to design secure, scalable architectures for finance or accounting applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAS or SAS-to-cloud modernizations.
  • Familiarity with Empyrean or similar financial/treasury solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, liquidity management, or accounting data models.
