We are a dynamic, industry-leading enterprise seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Project Portfolio Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO). In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting enterprise portfolio governance, resource capacity planning, and financial tracking. You will partner directly with cross-functional teams, PMO leadership, and executives to drive data-driven decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the successful delivery of our multi-project portfolios.

responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities Portfolio Governance & Strategy


  • Support and enhance portfolio governance processes to improve transparency, decision-making, and change readiness.
  • Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and investment discussions.
  • Maintain the accuracy of portfolio data across schedules, risks, financials, and dependencies.
  • Support PMO leadership in advancing portfolio outcomes, governance maturity, and change readiness.
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement of portfolio reporting processes.
Reporting & Analytics


  • Develop and deliver executive portfolio reporting, dashboards, and presentation materials.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards (using Power BI and Excel) to provide portfolio visibility.
  • Analyze portfolio data to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Track portfolio KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Assist in improving data quality and automation of reporting workflows.
  • Maintain enterprise PPM tools and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Resource & Financial Management


  • Contribute to enterprise resource planning processes through in-depth analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor resource allocation to identify capacity risks and optimization opportunities.
  • Facilitate coordination between project and resource managers to resolve constraints.
  • Perform scenario planning and capacity modeling to support prioritization decisions.
  • Partner with Finance to support business cases, financial models, and performance tracking.
Stakeholder Communication & Risk Management


  • Communicate risks, issues, and portfolio insights effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Create compelling presentations and materials that communicate insights and actionable recommendations.
Key Skills & Technologies
  • Core Competencies: Portfolio Management (PPM) and Governance, Resource Capacity Planning, Financial Analysis & Modeling, Process Improvement & Standardization, Risk & Change Management.
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder communication and executive presentation development.
  • Data & Analytics: Advanced Data Analysis and Visualization skills.
  • Technical Tools: Hands-on experience with Planview, Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and PowerPoint.



qualifications:

Education


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.


Note: An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


Experience


5-7 years of relevant experience in project coordination, PMO support, portfolio reporting, or consulting roles.


Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise PMO environments or managing multi-project portfolios is highly preferred.


Proven track record in resource management, financial tracking, and executive-level reporting.
