Business Analyst 3 (Onsite)
Primary Location: Austin, Texas

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Business Analyst 3 for our premier client in Austin, Texas.

Education and Experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret Vital Statistics laws, policies, procedures and regulations.: 8 years.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).: 8 years.
  • Skill in project planning and organization.: 8 years.
  • Skill in business analysis methodologies.: 8 years.
  • Skill in analyzing and evaluating complex information technology applications, policies, and issues.: 8 years.
  • Skill in developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems and issues.: 8 years.
  • Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups.: 8 years.
  • Skill in using initiative and independent judgment and managing time effectively to establish priorities, organize tasks, and assign and direct the work of others.: 8 years.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, including the ability to work with people under pressure, negotiating with multiple parties and resolving conflicts.: 8 years.
  • Skill in reading, interpreting and understanding material to prepare concise reports or appropriate responses for the review and/or signature of section managers and/or directors.: 8 years.
  • Skill in gathering, organizing and analyzing facts, recommending solutions and resolving work-related problems.: 8 years.
  • Skill in maintaining statistical and accounting records and producing data summaries.: 8 years.
  • Ability to manage small to medium sized projects when needed.: 8 years.
  • Ability to create project work plans.: 8 years.
  • Ability to produce accurate work estimates and monitor progress.: 8 years.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.
  • Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering.
  • Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
  • Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • The division is requesting to retain this Business Analyst.
  • They will continue to work on EVER and exceptional items to ensure continuity of business operations.
  • The contractor will support front line business operations across multiple areas within VSS.
  • VSS collects, registers, and amends vital records for legal and administrative purposes, and uses vital records data for mission critical public health purposes.
  • In order to respond to the increased demand for Vital Records through the Electronic Vital Events Registrar (EVER) System and continuity of exceptional items.
  • VSS is requesting approval for this current VSS Business Analyst contractor.
