Overview:
Location: Remote - Albany, NY
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000

We are seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Business Analyst who will support our client to analyze business needs, document functional requirements, and support the design of solutions that align with operational objectives. This role will also develop and execute test scenarios, review results, and lead knowledge transfer activities to support successful implementation and adoption. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analyst with strong PeopleSoft experience, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Duties:
  • Analyze business processes, operational needs, and system requirements.
  • Gather, document, and manage functional requirements through stakeholder engagement.
  • Create functional design specifications that support system development and implementation.
  • Facilitate requirements and design sessions with end users and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios, scripts, and cases to validate system functionality.
  • Review testing results, identify defects or gaps, and support resolution efforts.
  • Maintain business analysis documentation, including requirements, process flows, design materials, and testing artifacts.
  • Lead knowledge transfer sessions for business users, analysts, and project team members.
  • Provide analytical support for complex business problems impacting multiple stakeholders or operational areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and aligned with project goals.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Six or more years of business analysis experience in a PeopleSoft environment in each of at least five of the following knowledge areas (as defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis’ “A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge ® {BABOK® Guide}”):
    • business analysis planning and monitoring
    • elicitation and collaboration
    • requirements life cycle management
    • strategy analysis
    • requirements analysis and design definition
    • solution evaluation
  • 4+ years of experience performing business analysis in the PeopleSoft modules (IH, CRM, HCM)
  • 6+ years of experience in reading and creating SQLs.
  • 6+ years of experience demonstrating an understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and table structures.
  • 4+ years of experience facilitating requirements and design sessions with the end user community.
  • Business Analysis experience working in a government setting using PeopleSoft, particularly HCM module.
  • Experience developing functional solutions in areas where the business problem is complex, impacts multiple stakeholders, has significant customer resistance, or has significant constraints.
  • Experience providing knowledge transfer on new technologies, the developed application, and/or existing knowledge of the PeopleSoft architecture to other business analysts.
  • Experience reading and/or writing Oracle SQL, and/or familiarity with PeopleSoft databases/functionality.
  • Experience supporting a pension benefit administration solution in a government setting.
