UX Researcher

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a UX Researcher in South Jordan, UT.

Overview:
The UX Research team is seeking a UX Research Contractor to support a new usability research program focused on first-time user onboarding experiences. This role will partner closely with Product, UX Design, Engineering, QA, and Data teams to generate actionable insights that improve onboarding journeys for new users.

This is a highly visible role, ideal for a researcher comfortable running research end-to-end, facilitating sessions independently, synthesizing insights quickly, and advocating for the user across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and operate a continuous usability research program focused on new user onboarding
* Plan, facilitate, and synthesize weekly usability research sessions with new users
* Independently moderate remote usability studies end-to-end
* Partner with Product, UX Design, Engineering, QA, and Data teams to surface insights
* Communicate clear, actionable findings to senior and cross-functional stakeholders
* Track and organize insights to support prioritization and decision-making
* Recruit research participants and manage logistics for both remote and in-person sessions
* Conduct periodic in-person research sessions onsite in South Jordan, UT

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Anthropology, Industrial Design, or related research field (Graduate degree preferred)
* 4+ years of experience conducting qualitative UX research and usability studies
* Proven experience running rapid, recurring research with fast turnaround
* Ability to lead research independently with minimal oversight
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tight timelines
* Experience presenting research findings to cross-functional and senior stakeholders
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across UX, Product, Engineering, QA, and Data teams
* Strong user advocacy mindset grounded in real user behavior

Preferred/Nice to Have:
* Experience working on products that combine software and hardware components
* Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines (hardware, software, marketing, etc.)
* Familiarity with a wide range of UX research tools and platforms
* Creative background, crafting, or hands-on hobby experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
