Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support in Burlington, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues while delivering excellent end-user support in a fast-paced environment.

Please Note: This is a full-time 1099 Independent Contractor position. No employee benefits, paid time off, health insurance, or other company-sponsored benefits are provided.

Work Authorization Requirement

This position is open only to candidates who are U.S. Citizens, s, L2 or J2 EAD.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite desktop and laptop support to end users.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 systems.
Resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
Support Microsoft Office 365 applications and services.
Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
Perform software installations, upgrades, and hardware deployments.
Document incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors to resolve issues.
Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, or IT Support roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory.
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Experience with ticketing and remote support tools.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
Experience in enterprise environments.
Knowledge of hardware deployment and asset management.

Work Arrangement

Onsite role in Burlington, Wisconsin.
Full-time hours.
1099 Independent Contractor role.
