Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Atlassian Developer and Strategy lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting strategy, standards for an Atlassian ecosystem. This includes developing, configuring and administering Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management. This role requires not only technical expertise but also a proactive approach to optimizing and customizing Atlassian products to meet the unique needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Strategy and Standards
- Collaborates with IT and business leaders as well as existing users of Atlassian platform to establish a set of standards and strategic approach for the use of the platform.
- Develop and execute a roadmap for the Atlassian suite for Pentair.
Development and Customization
- Develop custom plugins, workflows, and scripts to extend the functionality of Atlassian tools.
- Customize Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and screens to meet specific project requirements.
- Implement integrations with other tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Create and maintain custom dashboards, reports, and queries in Jira and Confluence.
- Optimize and customize Jira Service Management to improve service delivery and support processes.
Administration and Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain Atlassian tools and related applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage user permissions, roles, and groups across Atlassian products.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular backups and upgrades.
- Ensure system security and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and team members.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to maximize the adoption and effective use of Atlassian tools.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
- Facilitate a weekly community of practice meeting.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in developing and administering Atlassian products.
- Proven experience with Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with other collaboration and productivity tools.
