Product Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Product Manager with deep product management discipline and strong accounting and finance domain expertise, specifically in Product Costing and Inventory Accounting. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and financial accuracy, owning the future-state design and implementation of product costing capabilities, including Moving Average Cost (MAC). The ideal candidate brings a strategic product mindset (60%) combined with hands-on accounting and finance knowledge (40%), ensuring that financial systems, inventory valuation, and COGS calculations are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
Product Management (-60%):
* Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for product costing capabilities, from discovery and design through delivery and optimization
* Apply strong product management practices, including roadmap development, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and outcome-driven execution
* Understand and apply the 5 D's of Product Management (Discovery, Definition, Design, Delivery, and Decisions)
* Lead future-state product costing design, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and alignment with finance and accounting objectives
* Partner closely with Accounting, Finance, and Inventory teams to translate business needs into product requirements
* Balance strategic vision with execution, ensuring product decisions deliver measurable business value

Accounting & Finance Domain Responsibilities (-40%):
* Lead the design and implementation of Moving Average Cost (MAC) methodology
* Support and enhance Inventory Accounting processes and controls
* Perform inventory evaluation and ensure proper valuation methods
* Analyze COGS impacts related to product costing and inventory changes
* Ensure accounting treatments align with financial policies and regulatory standards
* Own and maintain Finance Master Data related to product costing and inventory

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven Product Manager experience with ownership of complex, cross-functional products
* Strong understanding of product lifecycle management
* Demonstrated strategic mindset with the ability to drive long-term product vision
* Experience applying modern product management frameworks and best practices
* Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems
* Solid accounting knowledge, with prior experience supporting accounting customers
* Experience supporting or working within financial systems

Hands-on experience with:
* Product Costing
* Inventory Accounting
* COGS analysis

Preferred SAP modules:
* SAP FI (Financial Accounting)
* SAP MM (Materials Management)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
