Remote - Immediate interviews for Data Architect with Microsoft Fabric experience - 6 months contract
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Architect to lead the architecture and design of a modern enterprise data warehouse platform. The Data Architect will define the end-to-end data architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers and provide hands-on architectural guidance to the Fabric Platform Administrator during the Microsoft Fabric environment setup and configuration.
The ideal candidate must combine strong Microsoft Fabric architecture expertise with practical experience in environment planning, workspace configuration, security, connectivity, CI/CD, data modeling, ingestion frameworks, and technical leadership.
Required Qualifications
13+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, or enterprise analytics.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Experience designing Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, notebooks, pipelines, and medallion architectures.
Demonstrated experience guiding Microsoft Fabric environment setup and administration teams.
Strong understanding of Fabric workspaces, capacity, RBAC, security, connectivity, monitoring, and deployment practices.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data integration.
Experience integrating Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, or comparable enterprise source systems.
Experience with PySpark, SQL, Delta/Parquet, notebooks, and metadata-driven ingestion frameworks.
Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, and enterprise data governance.
Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and technical-leadership skills.
