Software Development Manager for our SITE III Directorate Operations (DO) team, you won't just manage tasks-you will lead the engineering heartbeat of the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and mission-critical execution. How You'll Make an Impact- Lead & Scale: Direct multiple cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Architect the Future: Drive strategic decisions on technology selection (AWS, Java, Python) and system design to ensure our solutions are resilient and innovative.
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary technical translator between executive leadership, architects, and stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are met with transparency.
- Deliver at Scale: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex products-from initial resource allocation and risk mitigation to final deployment.
- Mentor & Grow: Take ownership of the "people" side of engineering, including hiring, performance coaching, and career development for your team members.
The Technical Toolkit We're Looking For- Leadership Core: 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams within an 8+ year career in full-stack software development.
- Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
- Modern Stack: Deep familiarity with Java, Python (Poetry/Flask), and JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular).
- DevOps & Agile: Proficiency with the Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence), Jenkins, Docker, and Git.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to use Microsoft Project and Agile methodologies to manage PMR briefings and weekly status reporting.
- Compliance: Understanding of CIO processes and EMO functional requirements.
Bonus Points For- Direct experience within the HUMINT functional domain.
- Prior experience supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
