This is a full-time opportunity based in the United States with a leading industrial construction company. The role focuses on overseeing and managing industrial boiler construction projects from RFQ to completion, ensuring technical execution, client satisfaction, safety, and project profitability. Candidates will be responsible for managing multiple states within their assigned area, including California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, parts of Idaho, and northern Nevada.
The standout feature of this role is the level of ownership and autonomy-Construction Managers will have complete responsibility for their assigned area, interfacing with clients, monitoring and driving builds, and making travel decisions to ensure client success. The ideal candidate is a tenured professional with hands-on industrial boiler experience (commercial or residential only is not acceptable), strong budget management skills, and a technical, team-oriented mindset. Travel will vary by project, up to 50%, with some weeks in the office and others on the road, and relocation is acceptable.
Required Skills & Experience
10-20+ years of construction experience
5+ years in a Construction Manager, Superintendent, or equivalent field leadership role
Direct experience in industrial boiler or power-generation construction
Hands-on boiler management operations experience
Proven ability to manage projects from RFQ to completion, including P&L and budgets
Experience managing boiler erection/replacement, pressure-part installation, welding scopes, brownfield/operating plant construction, and outages with compressed schedules
Experience managing projects ranging from $10M-$100M+
Deep understanding of boiler erection sequencing, structural steel supports, access systems, heavy rigging, crane operations, and high-elevation work
Strong safety leadership, including working at heights, confined spaces, hot work, heavy lifts, rigging, and energy isolation/LOTO
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Familiarity with weld quality inspections and temporary systems (scaffolding, access, supports)
Experience with schedule development, recovery planning, and change management
Experience developing superintendents, field engineers, and future leaders
Ability to manage both union and non-union craft labor and subcontractors
Technical, team-oriented mindset; comfortable working in a collaborative environment
