Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a hybrid position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH; Detroit, MI; Dallas, TX or Minnetonka, MN. This is a 3+ month contract to hire opportunity.
Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour based on experience This role provides functional support to the Colleague Solutions Team, which spans over 40 applications. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will assist the team with projects based on federal regulation changes and other regulatory efforts. The selected candidate will act as a liaison between software vendors, business units, and other corporate areas to provide technical support and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities: - Learn the applications supported by the team
- Act as a champion of the lines of business the team supports
- Support small, medium, and large projects, working with the assigned project manager, lead architect, lead developer and other analysts to execute initiatives on time and within budget
- Document business and IT process flows, workflows and data flows using Microsoft Visio
- Define project scope and gather and document detailed requirements
- Review technical design specifications to assert if all the requirements are met
- Review test plans and test cases to assert if all the requirements are being tested
- Coordinate or assist with the coordination of user acceptance testing with the business users
- Help document and plan production implementation
- Perform or assist with coordination of post implementation validation as needed
- Work with technical and non-technical vendor representatives as needed to enhance or support systems
- Create or assist with the creation of data mapping documentation
- Act as a champion of continuous improvement in the team
- Participate in BSA Group peer reviews and discussions
Requirements: - Associate or bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of experience performing duties as a business systems analyst producing artifacts such as scope documents, requirements documents, and process/data flow diagrams
- Must possess the interpersonal skills to be able to work well with business and IT groups
- Must understand waterfall software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, a "can do" attitude and attention to detail
- Must be flexible with a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift
- Must be a team player with a strong resolve for customer service and satisfaction
Desired skills: - Experience in Community Development data or systems
- Knowledge of Security systems for badge access, alarm panels, etc
- Knowledge of loan data (Commercial, Business, Consumer, Mortgage, Credit Card, etc)
- Knowledge of the banking industry and related business processes
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum/Iterative SDLC
