.NET Developer (Contract) | Onsite in Montgomery, AL | Up to $28/hr

We are seeking a motivated .NET Developer to support a large-scale application modernization initiative. This contract position will focus on migrating legacy applications and services from .NET Framework 4.x to .NET 6, with an emphasis on C# development, API modernization, and SQL Server integration.

Required Work Authorization

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

Assist with the migration of applications from .NET Framework 4.x to .NET 6
Develop and maintain applications using C#
Convert legacy ASP.NET WebForms applications to modern solutions
Support the migration of WCF services to RESTful APIs
Write, test, and debug code following established development standards
Write SQL queries and interact with Microsoft SQL Server databases
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with development teams
Perform functional testing to ensure quality and reliability

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of professional software development experience
Experience programming in C#
Knowledge of .NET Framework and/or .NET Core/.NET 6
Experience writing SQL queries
Understanding of software development best practices
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ASP.NET WebForms
Experience with Blazor Server
Experience developing RESTful APIs
Experience working with WCF services
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
