Lead Agile Business Analyst (SAFe/Agile)
Elite Technical is seeking a Lead Agile Business Analyst who has worked within a Healthcare Payor Environment! The selected candidate will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Agile delivery teams, ensuring that evolving business needs are continuously understood, prioritized, and translated into actionable user stories and product features. This role is responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, refining backlogs, and driving iterative delivery of value through close collaboration with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and QA teams. The incumbent ensures that business objectives are met by enabling adaptive planning, early delivery, and continuous improvement.
The selected candidate must be comfortable writing Jira user stories for large agile teams (10+ members). Expert level knowledge with Jira is required.
This position require candidates that reside in the Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC area for 1-2 weekly onsite meetings in Reston VA and a final F2F interview in Reston VA will be required. - 8+ years of Business Analyst experience with the last 2-3 years as a Lead Business Analyst.
- Education Level: Bachelor''''s Degree - In lieu of a Bachelor''''s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- Seeking proven ownership of backlog management, prioritization, and refinement in close partnership with Product and Engineering. Brings solid technical and data fluency-able to work comfortably with engineers, data teams, and complex systems-while maintaining focus on business value and risk. A proactive go-getter who takes initiative, drives clarity, anticipates dependencies, and pushes work forward without waiting for direction
- Health insurance payor industry experience is required
- Experience with interacting with large scrum teams
- SME Agile/SAFe experience - Proven ability to deliver high-quality Agile artifacts and contribute to cost-effective, value-driven solutions. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and business analysis core competencies
- Hands-on experience with creating 10-15 user stories per week in JIRA (SME level knowledge of Jira is required)
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives.
Preferred:
- Experience within a UI related product and basic knowledge of Webservices/RestAPIs
- Cloud/DevOps project experience
- SAFE/Agile related certifications
