About the Role
We are a staffing firm partnering with a global IT services provider that delivers managed technology support for a large, well-known manufacturing organization. They are seeking a Senior IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide hands-on, onsite IT support within a fast-paced production environment.
This role supports approximately 500 end-user devices and works closely with both onsite stakeholders and an offshore IT team responsible for escalated Microsoft 365 support. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and comfortable working directly with end users in an enterprise or manufacturing setting.


Job Description
As a Senior IT Desktop Support Specialist, you will deliver deskside and workstation support for end users across the facility. You will handle break/fix incidents, device refreshes, and deployments while ensuring tickets are accurately documented and resolved in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite deskside support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including break/fix and device repairs
  • Perform PC imaging, refreshes, and deployments using enterprise tools (SCCM)
  • Respond to and manage ServiceNow tickets through full resolution
  • Maintain accurate documentation, ticket updates, and status tracking
  • Resolve an average of 10 support tickets per week
  • Coordinate with offshore and senior IT teams for escalations, including Microsoft 365 issues
  • Deliver professional, courteous, and customer-focused support to onsite users
  • Assist with workstation setups, moves, and general IT support requests across the facility
Technical Environment
  • SCCM
  • ServiceNow
  • Microsoft Windows (laptops and desktops)
  • Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
  • Enterprise IT and endpoint management tools

Qualifications
Required
  • Mid-level experience in IT desktop, deskside, or end-user support
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting, device repair, and PC refreshes
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing or large enterprise environment
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs or more as part of daily support tasks
  • Strong documentation, organization, and task-tracking skills
Preferred
  • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • Prior IT support experience in manufacturing or large-campus settings
  • Experience with SCCM imaging or deployment processes
