American Computer Services, Inc. is seeking a talented Infrastructure Technical Specialist to drive infrastructure projects that modernize IT operations and enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability in hybrid cloud environments. In this role, you will advance enterprise modernization by serving as the primary administrator for the DIAL AWS GovCloud environment, overseeing essential platforms such as AMANDA, FileCloud, and the DIAL Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
YOU MUST have:
- Experience creating and managing hybrid platforms that integrate local data centers with AWS cloud environments to support a cloud-first strategy.
- Experience managing AWS core services and infrastructure for VDI workspaces to support large-scale enterprise use.
- Experience managing FileCloud (Linux/Mongo) environments, including staff onboarding, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Experience transitioning legacy applications to AWS, featuring the development of strategic roadmaps and readiness evaluations.
- Experience maintaining high availability by overseeing cloud and on-site compute, storage, and networking components.

- Hybrid Cloud Engineering:
o Capability to develop workload patterns that ensure identity and application services operate fluently across both cloud and local environments.
o The ability to pinpoint cost-saving measures through resource rightsizing and automated performance tuning of cloud environments.
o Precision in managing standard operating procedures and security methods within version-control systems.
- Advanced Technical Support:
o Background in providing high-level escalation support for complex issues originating from connectivity or app performance.
o Skill in resolving intricate AWS identity and connectivity problems that impact business-critical applications.
o Availability for on-call nightly and weekend patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
o A collaborative mindset for working with automation experts to ensure all deployments are repeatable and verifiable.
o Experience establishing infrastructure standards and participating in the design of distributed systems architecture.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential for effectively collaborating with multiple teams.
