Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The Strategic Asset Liability Management Technology group is looking for motivated new talent to improve the execution of internal applications and support operational excellence. This role will have an opportunity to work on applications that will determine the intraday position for the business as well as calculate risk, focusing on the development of new capabilities and enhancements of existing ones.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop and maintain custom applications or configure application systems and services with a working knowledge of developing and maintaining .Net multi-threaded windows services
- Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
- Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource and expert in UI as well as server side technologies
- Drive project or solution and partner with various external teams including external developers, business and deployment teams, as needed
- Identify and triage around issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives
Requirements: - 7+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or job related field or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with SQL Server, API development, .NET, and Autosys
- Hands-on knowledge of ETL and Perl scripts
- Well versed in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools like JIRA/Rally, Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory etc
- Experience with Agile Development and the ability to work with a global delivery team
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Application security standards and Application management policy/standards
Desired skills: - Exposure to the process testing domain
- Performance tuning of ETL routines
- Infrastructure knowledge
- Exposure to high volume data loads
- Knowledge and experience working on Oracle
- Familiarity with Java, Node.js, and REST API
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
