Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. As a seasoned technical resource, you will contribute to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions. In this role, you will develop applications and services in an Agile environment, collaborating with external programmers, offshore teams, and business partners to coordinate delivery commitments. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Contribute to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions
- Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource, providing technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor
- Collaborate with external programmers, offshore teams, support teams, platform teams, and business partners to coordinate delivery commitments
- Regularly communicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly to avoid or minimize impact to projects
Requirements: - 6+ years of industry experience in developing applications and services in an Agile, Scrum, and Lean environment
- Excellent skill in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Oracle, JPA/JDBC/Hibernate, and REST APIs as a Backend or Full Stack Developer
- Experience with Linux and Middleware (Tomcat, WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss)
- Strong knowledge of design patterns and best practices in web services, full stack system architecture, and system integration
- Experience with orchestration technologies, GIT, and continuous integration (CI)/continuous delivery (CD) pipelines
- Good understanding of object-oriented principles, system design and diagraming, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience in the full system implementation lifecycle (analysis, design, build, test, implement, and support)
- Solid experience in Logging, Caching, Transaction Management, Multi-Threading/Concurrency, Performance Tuning, and Monitoring aspects of applications
Desired skills: - Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge and/or experience handling certificates
- Cloud-based infrastructure experience
