salary: $56.71 - 61.71 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm
responsibilities:
- Lead Database Management: Spearhead complex database management activities, including the design of highly sophisticated logical and physical databases, as well as leading data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning initiatives.
- Database Operations & Control: Plan, research, design, implement, maintain, and control server-class databases. This includes designing and implementing robust security solutions, incorporating Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing, and certifying next-generation database technologies.
- Strategic Consultation & Leadership: Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high-impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction. Provide technical leadership and recommendations for the future of database technology.
- Policy Development: Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve goals and resolve issues.
qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Data Modeling: 5+ years of combined Logical and Physical Data Modeling experience.
High Availability: 5+ years of experience supporting highly available distributed databases.
SDLC/Agile: 5+ years of experience supporting the software development life cycle (SDLC)/Agile methodologies for large-scale distributed technology projects and migrations.
Specific DB Expertise: 4+ years of combined experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL/YugabyteDB.
