Title: Senior Salesforce Solution Engineer
Location: Raleigh, NC 27607 (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months

 
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Solution Engineer to design, develop, and support end-to-end Salesforce solutions for mission-critical applications. The role will focus on Salesforce Government Cloud and support complex business processes including case management, licensing, service operations, and related workflows. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions while leveraging both declarative and programmatic capabilities.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and evaluate solution options.
  • Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions, including integrations, architecture, configuration, and technical blueprints.
  • Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integration technologies.
  • Ensure solutions follow Salesforce best practices, engineering standards, security requirements, and platform governance.
  • Support enterprise-level integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
  • Review Salesforce Spring, Summer, and Winter releases to identify breaking changes, deprecations, new features, configuration changes, and potential impacts.
  • Assess platform updates and proactively recommend remediation or enhancement strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver enhancements and production support.
  • Provide technical leadership during solution design, development, testing, deployment, and release activities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-driven capabilities, intelligent automation, and emerging Salesforce technologies.
  • Ensure AI-enabled solutions are implemented responsibly, securely, and in accordance with applicable compliance requirements.
 
Required Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience across configuration, customization, development, and solution design.
  • Minimum 5 years of strong Salesforce development experience with:
    • Apex
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Salesforce Flows
    • Enterprise integrations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting public-sector, regulated, compliance-heavy, or similarly complex enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading technical discovery, solution design sessions, development teams, or technical initiatives in a senior/lead capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, platform capabilities, security, and governance.
  • Experience designing scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
 
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud.
  • Experience supporting case management, child welfare, licensing, human services, or other public-sector applications.
  • Experience with complex enterprise Salesforce integrations and API-based architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce release management and impact assessments.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities and intelligent automation.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, Administrator, Application Architect, or System Architect.
  • Experience working with highly secure, compliance-driven, and mission-critical applications.
