Senior SAP FICO Consultant/Functional lead - leads process transformation, designing, configuring, and implementing SAP Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) solutions, acting as a liaison between business and IT, managing projects, providing expert guidance on best practices (like GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Profitability), mentoring junior staff, and ensuring system alignment with business goals and compliance, often requiring strong stakeholder communication
Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Implementation: Lead FICO module configuration, customizing solutions (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA) for new projects or enhancementsBusiness Process Expertise: Translate complex business requirements into functional designs, map processes, and identify gaps or improvementsStakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business users, technical teams, and project managers, managing expectations and communicationProject Leadership: Oversee FICO workstreams, manage risks, plan activities, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelinesTesting & Documentation: Develop test cases, manage testing cycles, and create comprehensive documentation (functional specs, training materials)Support & Training: Provide expert support, troubleshoot issues, and train users, ensuring smooth go-lives and post-go-live stabilityMentorship: Guide and mentor junior consultants, fostering knowledge transfer
Essential Skills & QualificationsExperience: 5-10+ years in SAP FICO, multiple full lifecycle implementations, significant S/4HANA experience often requiredModules: Deep expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of global accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and industry-specific regulatory requirementsCross-functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of integration points with MM, SD, PP modulesTechnical: Familiarity with SAP best practices, statutory/tax requirements, and potentially integration toolsSoft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and client-facing skillsExperience: Mergers and acquisition and large projects is a plus Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; SAP Certification is a plus Fluent English
