Genesis10 is currently seeking a Test Engineer for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are looking for a skilled test engineer who can design and implement quality-check procedures for our applications. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing application features, designing test parameters, creating automated test cases, and executing them using testing tools to ensure high quality standards are met.
Responsibilities: - Analyze application features and design test parameters
- Create and execute automated test cases using testing tools
- Ensure that developed applications meet high quality standards and expectations
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience as a test engineer
- Languages: Java (Spring Boot), Python (for utilities), SQL
- Database: Oracle, MongoDB
- Experience with REST/GraphQL testing, pagination, retries, and backoff
- Contract testing with Pact; OpenAPI/Swagger validation
- CDC/event validation (Kafka, Schema Registry), DLQ handling
Desired skills: - Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python
- Working knowledge with MS SQL Server or MySQL database
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a similar field
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
