Description

We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to support a leading organization in scientific instrument manufacturing in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a creative individual who can translate marketing goals into high-quality visual assets across print and digital channels while partnering closely with cross-functional teams. The role blends hands-on design execution with project coordination, brand stewardship, and creative guidance for other designers in a collaborative hybrid environment.

Responsibilities:
Lead the development of visually compelling marketing materials for both digital and print platforms, ensuring each deliverable supports campaign objectives and business goals.
Partner with marketing managers, copywriters, project managers, proofing teams, and production specialists to move medium- to high-complexity creative projects from concept through final delivery.
Apply and uphold brand standards across all stages of design, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and quality throughout reviews and revisions.
Provide day-to-day creative guidance and mentorship to other graphic designers, helping elevate design quality and team effectiveness.
Plan and execute photo shoots with limited oversight, and refine imagery or create original artwork to strengthen promotional storytelling.
Collaborate with project management to gather, clarify, and share project details needed to keep assignments on track and aligned to creative briefs.
Review prepress files and production-ready documents to confirm technical accuracy, print readiness, and compliance with design specifications.
Work closely with print production partners to support proper file preparation, effective design execution, and successful final output.
Monitor emerging design directions, tools, and industry practices, incorporating relevant trends and technologies into creative work where appropriate.
Organize and prepare final electronic files for archiving and future reference while supporting other related duties as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in design or a related field, or equivalent experience in graphic design.
2-4 years of graphic design experience, including 2-4 years in a corporate B2B environment.
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Strong command of layout, typography, image preparation, and core visual design principles.
Experience managing creative projects and producing direct marketing or advertising materials from concept to completion.
Knowledge of four-color printing processes and best practices for preparing files for production.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work successfully across multidisciplinary teams.
Availability to work in a hybrid arrangement with on-site presence in Mendota Heights, Minnesota two days per week.
