Low Voltage Security Technician (Fire Alarm Focus)

Overview

Our customer is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Security Technician to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong experience in fire alarm systems installation and service, along with a well-rounded experience in electronic security systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems (various brands and configurations)
• Perform installation and troubleshooting of:
  • Intrusion alarm systems
  • Access control systems
  • CCTV and surveillance systems
• Conduct system testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Interact professionally with end users, ensuring excellent customer service
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in fire alarm installation and service
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, including alarms, access control, and cameras
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system designs
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with a variety of fire alarm platforms and manufacturers
• Additional experience in integrated security systems is a plus

Professional Requirements

• Must be professional and presentable when interacting with clients and end users
• Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience are essential

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marlboro, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
